What’s Included in Hardware Monitoring and Support?
Servers, workstations, printers, scanners, fax machines, modems, routers, switches, access points, battery back-ups, telephones, and televisions are all monitored, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If anything goes offline, we’ll know immediately.
Are You Alerted When My Hardware is Reaching Capacity?
If your hard drive is at or above 80% capacity, we have an alert for that. When a processor is working at more than 75% of its capacity, we have another alert for that. And if your RAM (memory) is being overworked, we’ll know about that, too.
With a total of more than 300 alerts in place, we’re notified of problems quickly and can move right to the remedy (usually in the background). It will be business as usual for you. Just another issue resolved before it became a problem.
Can You Monitor My Network’s Speed?
If we detect a slowdown of information between your workstations and servers and/or your internal network to the outside world, you can bet we’ll act immediately. Your business demands respectable internet speeds at all locations, and we think your business is right.

Will You Monitor My Router?
Absolutely. We’ll monitor, update, reconfigure, and test your router to make sure it’s equipped to keep as many bad guys out as possible.
When Do You Update Software and Firmware?
In short, we update when updates are published. The longer story? We’ll ensure that all your hardware’s firmware (the code that tells your hardware how to act) is current and vetted. You can also count on us to make sure all associated software (like that which runs your wireless access points, for example) is up to date.
You can rest assured that all operating-system and third-party software will be patched and/or updated and kept current.
Windows (or applicable) is checked twice a month. Microsoft releases ‘regular updates’ on what is known as patch Tuesday (the second Tuesday of every month), but they will release emergency critical patches at any time. We watch for, vet (always important as they often release a patch that would, if implemented, cause your software to stop working) then download, install, configure as needed, restart, test for operability, and move on to the next computer.
Where LOB (Line of Business) applications and software are concerned, we’ll work with all your software providers to keep their programs up to date, safe, secure, and running correctly. The hardest part is making sure all these programs play nicely with one another.
And those programs you rely on to make other programs work correctly (otherwise known as third-party software, like Adobe Acrobat, Google Chrome, Firefox, .net framework, and utility programs like Glarysoft, CCleaner, etc.)? We’ll check for, download, install, and configure updates and upgrades to all these programs three times every week.
